Pack up your Preschoolers and come to Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard for a
Hands-On Educational Orchard and Farm Tour
1-1/2 Hour Monday-Thursday Tours – 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. – Activities Include:
- An interactive educational farm lesson led by a farm tour guide;
- Tractor-pulled wagon ride;
- Picking your own bag of apples from apple boxes:
- Sorting apples by color and size;
- Learning about parts of an apple;
- Exploring a corn maze;
- Visiting a pumpkin patch;
- Drinking a cup of local fresh apple cider;
- Tasting a fresh apple;
- Teacher and assistant – no fee charged;
- Picnic area available; and,
- Hayground (playground) available.
- $10/student, parents $7 (do not pick apples).
Unfortunately, due to the severe weather and very early spring our orchards have sustained significant crop loss. In light of these facts students will only be able to pick a quarter peck bag of apples from our apple boxes and not from the trees. This is just as disappointing to us as it is to you.
