What Is Tulip Blossom Days?

Tulip Blossom Days is a springtime celebration at Stepp’s where visitors can pick their own tulips, wander through a field of vibrant blooms, and soak up that unmistakable feeling of spring. From late March (weather permitting) through early April, the orchard bursts with color as mid- and late-season tulips come into full bloom.

Pick Your Own Bouquet

Nothing says spring like strolling through rows of tulips and selecting the perfect stems to bring home. Each tulip is priced at $2 per stem, and you’re welcome to bring your own container or we will provide you with one.

Spring Flower Arranging Workshop (Ages 13+)

This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves flowers — whether you’re a budding designer or just want to bring home a beautiful centerpiece. Held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 2 pm, this class teaches the art and techniques of floral design using fresh tulips and other seasonal blooms picked right from the field.

What to expect:

Hands-on instruction:

Learn how to trim stems properly, balance colors and shapes, and build eye-catching arrangements that hold up well in the home.

Creative inspiration:

Discover tips on pairing tulips with other spring flowers and foliage for lush bouquets that reflect the season’s fresh palette

Take-home creation:

You leave with your own professionally styled arrangement — perfect for your dining table, gifting to a friend, or simply celebrating spring’s arrival. • Included admission: Workshop registration includes entrance to the tulip field.

You’ll pick 12 tulips for your bouquet and there will be other kinds of flowers to add to it during the workshop.

Watercolor Workshop (Ages 13+)

Scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 am, this beginner-friendly watercolor session lets you capture the vibrant beauty of tulips and spring landscapes on paper.

What to expect:

Guided creativity:

Participants receive step-by-step instruction in basic watercolor techniques — from blending washes to adding fine floral details inspired by the tulips around you.

Inspiration from nature:

With the colorful fields as your muse, you can paint tulips, stems, and seasonal scenes that reflect your personal style and vision.

All skill levels welcome:

No previous painting experience required — this workshop is designed for beginners and those who simply want to enjoy a relaxing creative break.

Tulip Blossom Days are held on select days with event hours typically on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am – 4 pm and Sundays from 1 – 4 pm.

Please note that while we love your furry friends, dogs are not permitted in the tulip field, in the field-side shop, or in workshop classrooms.
