This time of year marks the joyful return of one of our most beloved sights on the farm—sunflowers in full bloom! At Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard, we’re welcoming sunflower season with open arms, clippers in hand, and field bursting with bold, breathtaking color.

This fall, whether you come to pick your own, capture the perfect photo, or simply soak up the seasonal beauty in the mountains, our sunflowers will be waiting for you!

A Rainbow of Colors

We grow over 10 unique varieties, showcasing an impressive palette of colors:

Golden Yellow | Soft Lemon | Deep Orange | Warm Peach | Burgundy Red
Dusty Plum | Pure White | Bi-color and striped blends

Every stroll through the field offers new shades, sizes, and photo ops.

Blooming Through Mid-October

Thanks to succession planting, new sunflowers are blooming at the farm every 7 to 10 days. That means:

Depending on the weather, you’re likely to find fresh flowers in bloom.

The field typically stays full and colorful until Mid-October.

There’s plenty of time to visit for u-pick!

Pollen-Free = Mess-Free

We specifically plant pollenless sunflower varieties, which means:

Longer-lasting bouquets

No yellow stains in your car

Allergy-friendly beauty for your home

Our sunflowers are grown with thoughtfulness for you!
