Apple Ridge Relay: What to Expect at Our July 26 Race
We’re thrilled to welcome runners, nature lovers, and adventure seekers to our family farm this summer for the Apple Ridge Relay – a one-of-a-kind race experience set right here at Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard on Saturday, July 26, 2025!
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking for a fun challenge with friends, this event has something for everyone. There’s no better way to soak in the beauty of our orchard and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains than by running your way through it.
What to Expect on Race Day
Hosted by our friends at iDaph Events and presented by Hunter Subaru, the Apple Ridge Relay takes place on a scenic two-mile loop that winds through our apple trees, wooded trails, and gravel roads. You’ll get a little taste of everything – rolling hills, mountain views, and that fresh orchard air we love so much.
Choose Your Race Format:
Relay Teams of 2 or 3 will tackle 10 laps (20 miles total), handing off to one another along the way.
Solo runners can challenge themselves to see how many laps they can complete in 3 hours.
Start time is 8:00 AM, so come early to pick up your packet, stretch out, and soak in the calm morning light before the excitement begins.
While you’re here for the race, be sure to stop by the Apple House, which will be open for shopping and treats. It’s the perfect post-run reward!
Why We’re Excited to Host This Race
This relay is more than just a run – it’s a celebration of community, wellness, and the beauty of the land we call home. We love seeing families, friends, and running clubs come together for an unforgettable morning outdoors.
And yes – there will be prizes! Top finishers will receive apple-tastic awards, and everyone who registers by June 22 gets a free race shirt. Want a little extra keepsake? Finisher medals are also available for purchase.
