Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard is a family-owned and operated farm and a family-favorite fall destination since we became one of the area’s first pick-your-own farms in 1969. Throughout the fall season, our expansive farm offers an assortment of fresh produce to pick. Depending on the time of your visit, you can enjoy u-pick apples, pumpkins, and grapes alongside sunflowers and zinnias. Early fall welcomes crisp apples and juicy grapes alongside sunflowers and zinnias, while festive pumpkins take center stage later in the season. Don’t forget to bring your camera – the vibrant fall foliage and stunning mountain views are the perfect backdrop for lasting memories!

Free Admission
We believe everyone should experience the joy of visiting the farm! There’s no admission fee, so you only pay for what you pick, do, or buy.
Seasonal Offerings
Our opening and closing times depend on crop availability and weather conditions. Generally, our fall season runs from mid-August to the end of October. Apples and flowers are generally available to pick our entire fall season, grapes are available at the beginning of the season, and pumpkins at the end of the season. All containers are provided for u-pick. Keep an eye on our social media pages for the most up-to-date details.
Fall Hours
During peak fall season, we’re open Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 5:30 pm, Friday & Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm, and Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm.
